Our client, a leader in the industrial sector, is seeking a Boiler Operator to join their team. As a Boiler Operator, you will be part of the operations team supporting the efficient functioning of the plant. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to safety and teamwork, which will align successfully with the organization's goals.
**Job Title:** Boiler Operator
**Location:** Minneapolis, MN
**Pay Range:** $41.66/hour
**Shifts Available:** 6am to 6pm (Day) AND 6pm to 6am (Night) - WEEK ON/WEEK OFF - 5 DAYS ON/5 DAYS OFF
**What's the Job?**
+ Maintain the efficient operations of the plant's boiler room and still yard.
+ Provide steam to the plant while adhering to safety and environmental regulations.
+ Perform routine maintenance and small repairs on various systems, including steam and condensate systems.
+ Collect samples and conduct quality testing to ensure compliance with specifications.
+ Monitor and oversee the plant's fire and sprinkler systems, ensuring optimal performance.
**What's Needed?**
+ High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
+ A state of Minnesota Certified Class B Boiler Operator License is required.
+ Ability to work required shift work and overtime as needed.
+ Strong mathematical skills and ability to perform simple statistical calculations.
+ Effective communication skills to interact with various departments and personnel.
