Job Description
The Boiler Operator is responsible for the maintenance, operation, and repair of centralized boiler and chiller equipment within a large complex Central Plant. This role involves working with high pressure steam heating and centrifugal chiller cooling systems that support specialized facilities such as hospitals. The position requires five years of experience, with at least three years in a similar environment.
ResponsibilitiesMaintain, operate, and repair high pressure steam boilers and chiller systems.Monitor and manage pumps, cooling towers, deaerators, surge tanks, and feed water systems.Ensure the efficient distribution of steam and chilled water.Conduct chemical treatment of systems.Operate central plant DDC control systems effectively.Essential SkillsFive years of experience in boiler and chiller equipment maintenance and operation.Three years of experience in a large complex Central Plant.Current Stationary Engineer’s license from a recognized entity such as NIULPE First Class Engineer or equivalent.Working knowledge of high pressure steam boilers, chillers, and related auxiliary systems.Additional Skills & QualificationsEPA Certification or previous Navy Experience as a Machine Mate.Experience with Steam Boilers in any industry.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.64 - $38.64/hr.
