Machine Operator –
Machine Operator employees are responsible for the operation of multiple blow molding machines and vision systems using written work instructions and computer interface. Requires a general understanding of overall manufacturing processes and the ability to understand and follow basic good manufacturing practices. Qualified candidates are responsible for starting and maintaining blow mold machine operation with a complete and overall understanding in the assigned area of responsibility.
Responsible for ensuring that all machines within the scope of responsibility are kept running and producing quality bottles while insuring the least amount of down-time possible. This includes communicating problems to on-coming shift personnel.Responsible for completing all mold changes and set-ups. Minor maintenance activities are required.Demonstrate organizational ability to complete daily clean-up assignments, and adequately maintain good housekeeping throughout the entire area of responsibility.Directly responsible for the proper support to Injection Machine Operators and all other team members to ensure a positive team environment. Checks and monitors quality on all assigned machines by understanding and recognizing all visual quality defects and how to make appropriate adjustments to correct quality defects.Maintains all required documentation of quality checks and testing, process checks, downtime, housekeeping and data entry.Displays a full understanding and working knowledge of all related software and other equipment required for efficient production of quality product.Follows all established safety rules and guidelines as outlined in the Amcor “No Injuries Safety Contract” and as trained. Understands and communicates all hazards and safety issues to co-workers and Supervisors.
