Job Title: Bioprocess Technician
Job Description
The Bioprocess Technician will perform duties associated with aseptic processes, including weighing, measuring, counting, calculations, sampling, and verifications required for biological production processes. This role requires adherence to batch production records (BPR), compliance with current good manufacturing practice (cGMP) standards, all current safety standards, and site procedures.
Responsibilities
Operate and oversee production processes, including fermentation, centrifuge, and concentration units.Ensure all equipment, instruments, and production materials are released and available for use.Perform transactions within the electronic inventory management system.Conduct in-process batch quality checks per written procedures.Maintain proper safety practices and wear appropriate safety equipment at all times.Create and update standard operating procedures and write deviation reports.Participate in training sessions and complete all assigned training, including company procedures and equipment operation.Generate or collect new ideas about workplace processes.Essential Skills
Basic knowledge in fermentation, centrifuge, concentration units, and biological organisms.Understanding of aseptic technique and documentation.Ability to read and interpret batch records, quality, and safety information.Basic computer skills.Technical and analytical skills.Excellent problem-solving skills.Ability to take initiative.Additional Skills & Qualifications
High School Diploma required.AAS or BA in Biotechnology or a related scientific field preferred.Previous experience in a Manufacturing or Production setting preferred.Work Environment
The position is based on the production floor, overseeing batches and their quality. You will work with fermentation systems, vessels, centrifuges, and other large-scale production systems, completing instrumentation and mechanical work. Shift hours are from 2:30 PM to 10 PM on the second shift.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $29.00 - $29.00/hr.
