Anatomical Modeling Specialist (Biomedical Engineering – General)
Job Summary
The Anatomical Modeling Specialist supports engineering activities by creating anatomically accurate 3D models from medical imaging data (CT and MRI). This role combines engineering principles, CAD expertise, and applied anatomical knowledge to develop models used for medical training and educational applications.
Key Responsibilities
Create and optimize 3D anatomical models from CT and MRI data using engineering and CAD tools.Perform image segmentation, surface refinement, and model validation.Ensure anatomical accuracy and technical quality of models across training and educational use cases.Collaborate with engineers, medical directors, and technical partners to define and review model requirements.Apply engineering best practices to maintain model consistency, accuracy, and usability.Incorporate feedback to support continuous improvement of models and workflows.Required Qualifications
Associate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering or technical fieldProficiency with SolidWorks or equivalent CAD softwareAbility to manage tasks independentlyExperience communicating technical concepts clearlyPreferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or scientific disciplineExperience with Materialise Mimics and 3-maticWorking knowledge of human anatomy and physiologyExperience supporting medical or educational engineering applicationsKey Skills

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
