About the Role: Under minimal supervision, performs repairs, preventative maintenance, and provides user assistance on radiology imaging systems and associated equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assesses radiology imaging equipment failures and affects repairs. Utilizes service manuals, schematics and software to troubleshoot radiology imaging equipment and systems. Confers with manufacturers service representatives on complex problems. Affects repairs using "good manufacturing" practices and principals. Ensures functionality of equipment with respect to system operation. Demonstrates a high level of understanding with respect to complex radiology imaging equipment and systems. Performs scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance in accordance with departmental policies and procedures & Joint Commission compliance. Anticipates and acquires necessary test equipment and supplies in advance for scheduled PM's. Contacts vendors to schedule PM's and ensures manufacturers compliance with contract obligations. Where necessary, contacts and schedules PM's with Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse. Applies PM and inspection labels consistent with both departmental and state and federal regulations. Completes work orders or updates status on a daily basis adhering to established departmental policies and procedures. Completes Parts Requisitions to obtain necessary parts and supplies. Aids in development of PM procedures. Effectively schedules service with equipment users to maintain productivity while minimizing the disruption of patient services. Works on assigned preventive maintenance unless reassigned by the Manager or the on-call tech.REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Associate's degree preferred Experience: 5 to 7 years of biomed experienceAdditional Information
