Essential Duties & Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

Reporting to the Preconstruction or BIM Manager, your role will include:

Prepare detailed CAD and BIM drawings for buildings and structures based on engineering specificationsCollaborate with design engineers to translate sketches and concepts into technical drawingsCreate fabrication, assembly, foundation, and elevation drawings, along with supporting documents like bills of materials and installation stepsEnsure accuracy and clarity across all drawings by coordinating with internal departmentsParticipate in design layout and problem-solving discussions with the engineering teamSupport material ordering and vendor coordinationOccasionally perform field activities and attend department meetings Qualifications

What You Bring:

Minimum 2 years of drafting experience, preferably in mechanical designProficiency in AutoCAD (latest version), Navisworks, Revit, Bluebeam, and FTP systemsGeneral understanding of mechanical engineering principles and sheet/structural metal designStrong communication skills and a team-oriented mindsetAbility to prioritize tasks and maintain organized, error-free documentation

 

Education:
