Job Description
The Billing Specialist will be responsible for processing data, posting receipts, and cash transactions. This role involves analyzing and auditing job content and costs by verifying data accuracy. The candidate will process invoices accurately and timely, monitor daily unbilled jobs, and ensure timely processing. The specialist will also analyze prep sheets and old job tickets for comparison and input invoice details into accounting software for accurate financial reporting.
Responsibilities
Process data, post receipts, and handle cash transactions.Analyze and audit job content and costs for data accuracy.Process invoices accurately and timely using verified data.Monitor daily unbilled jobs to ensure timely processing.Analyze prep sheets and old job tickets for comparison and information.Input invoice details into accounting software for accurate financial reporting.Prepare and maintain billing records, such as invoices and other supporting documents.Essential Skills
High school diploma and/or 1 year of data processing/input experience.Understanding of bookkeeping procedures.Experience with Excel, Outlook, and processing invoices.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Familiarity with accounting systems and software.Experience in accounts receivable and invoicing.Proficiency in data entry and 10-key operations.Work Environment
This position is based in a cubicle-style office located in the Urbandale area. The role requires 100% in-office attendance. The company offers opportunities for growth, with potential for promotion within 6 months to a year.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Des Moines, Iowa.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
