Job Description
The Billing Clerk is responsible for managing the billing process from start to finish, ensuring accurate customer quotes, timely invoicing, maintaining up-to-date customer records, and resolving billing-related inquiries. This role involves verifying charges, preparing invoices and credit memos, and issuing them to customers via mail or email. The clerk calculates amounts owed, updates billing systems, and supports financial operations through document management and customer service. Coordination with other departments and attention to detail are essential for smooth billing cycles and customer satisfaction.
ResponsibilitiesManage the billing process from start to finish.Ensure accurate and timely invoicing and customer quotes.Maintain up-to-date customer records and resolve billing-related inquiries.Verify charges and prepare invoices and credit memos.Issue invoices and credit memos to customers via mail or email.Calculate amounts owed and update billing systems.Support financial operations through document management and customer service.Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth billing cycles and customer satisfaction.Essential SkillsProficient in data entry, inputting detailed and accurate shipment quote information.Strong attention to detail, ensuring accurate quoting information.Experience in logistics and invoicing.Knowledge of medical billing and transportation quoting.Customer service skills.Understanding of accounts receivable.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School diploma or GED equivalent.Efficient use of MS Office, specifically email communication.One-year of business billing experience is nice to have.Experience in the transportation or logistics industry is a plus.Work Environment
The work environment is an office setting with a team of around 13 total in the CSR department. Attire should be professional, with no workout wear. Shifts can vary between operating hours of 7am-6pm and will be discussed during the interview process. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
