We are seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to manage and coordinate various aspects of shipment handling and logistics support. The role involves revising and quoting shipments, managing emails, handling data entry, and ensuring compliance with government regulations.
Role Responsibilities:Revise and quote shipments by updating shipment instructions and requesting missing information as needed.Manage emails promptly and follow executive instructions and company policies for shipment handling.Perform data entry by creating shipper, consignee, and vendor profiles, and updating shipment records.Collect payments as per instructions using methods such as PIA or COD.Schedule daily pickups with vendors and follow up until delivery is completed.Verify shipment documentation to ensure it matches cargo quantities.File AES for shipments over $2,500 and request necessary authorizations.Request bookings, generate shipment documents, and send pre-alerts.Notify customers of shipment status and any delays.Request commercial support quotes and revise consignment instructions.Coordinate warehouse activities by sending loading plans and assisting with cargo identification.Invoice shipments, send invoices to customers, and manage cost sheets.Address shipment discrepancies and open disputes with vendors.Manage document transmission for domestic shipments to ensure government compliance.Notify supervisors of volume changes and report any irregularities.Perform other related tasks as assigned.Essential Skills:Minimum of 1 year of logistics experience, preferably in freight forwarding.Proficiency in data entry.Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Outlook.Bilingual in Spanish.Work Environment
Work hours are Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 6 PM, in a team of 8 people. The dress code is business casual, and the company offers great benefits and recognizes PTO during the contract period.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
