Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing support in clinical settings, ensuring efficient patient care, and maintaining accurate medical records. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical assisting and a strong commitment to patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Conduct follow-ups with patients and update their records accordingly.Enter patient data accurately and manage electronic health records using EMR Athena.Answer inbound phone calls and provide exceptional customer service.Order laboratory tests and relay lab results to patients and healthcare providers.Schedule follow-up appointments and ensure timely patient care.Provide clinical support and assistance in medical procedures.

Essential Skills

At least 1 year of experience in medical assisting.Proficiency in EMR systems, particularly Athena.Strong understanding of medical terminology.Experience in ordering labs and managing patient care.High School Diploma required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Medical Assisting diploma or certification preferred.Experience with appointment scheduling and front desk operations.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.Knowledge of insurance processes.Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Orlando, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
