Bilingual Front Desk Receptionist
Job Title: Bilingual Front Desk Receptionist Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Bilingual Front Desk Receptionist with a strong background in healthcare and exceptional customer service skills. This role requires someone who can greet and assist patients, manage phone calls, and efficiently handle administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our health center. Responsibilities + Greet and check in patients, assisting them in accessing services promptly. + Answer telephones, provide information to callers, route calls as appropriate, and take clear and concise messages. + Maintain patient charts, records, clinic logs, and databases within the health center. + Manage appointment books and schedule patient and medical/dental appointments to ensure smooth patient flow and customer satisfaction. + Request and verify demographic and insurance information, including authorizations and pre-certifications. + Initiate follow-up calls and gather information for meetings to ensure well-organized events. + File and scan documents to maintain comprehensive patient and office operation records. + Perform patient registration and billing duties in the absence of other staff. + Audit office supplies and inventory monthly, document needs, and order necessary supplies. + Contact and complete work orders for IT and facilities departments. + Assist in distributing surveys and assessments. + Demonstrate professionalism and courtesy during interactions with patients and guests. + Be on call for dental patients and transfer calls to appropriate providers when necessary. + Perform other duties as assigned by the Front Office Coordinator and Health Center Manager. + Update MSDS book and Q.A. manual. Essential Skills + Bilingual in Spanish. + Minimum of 2+ years of reception or front desk experience. + Healthcare background . + Associates Degree or Business Institute Certificate. + Exposure to medical terminology and physician billing practices. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. + Demonstrated computer skills, including typing. + Ability to handle multiple priorities and maintain composure under pressure. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Two years of prior administrative or executive assistant experience preferred. Work Environment You will work closely with the office coordinator in a healthcare setting, interacting with patients and healthcare professionals. The work environment requires a professional demeanor and attire, while fostering a respectful and courteous atmosphere. The role involves using office technologies such as Dentrix and handling patient information. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greenwich, Connecticut. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
