Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Bilingual Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and demonstrate a professional attitude while interacting with patients and guests. This role requires efficient management of front desk operations and patient services.
ResponsibilitiesGreet and check in patients, ensuring they access services promptly.Answer telephone calls, provide information, route calls appropriately, and take clear and concise messages.Maintain patient charts, records, clinic logs, and databases within the health center.Organize and maintain appointment books, scheduling patients and medical/dental appointments to ensure smooth patient flow and customer satisfaction.Request and verify demographic and insurance information, including authorization and precertification.Set up meetings, arranging for necessary equipment and refreshments.Initiate follow-up calls and gather information for meetings.File and scan documents to maintain complete records of patients and office operations.Perform patient registration and billing duties in the absence of other staff.Audit office supplies and inventory monthly, document needs, and order necessary supplies.Contact and complete work orders for IT and facilities department.Assist in distributing surveys and assessments.Demonstrate a professional, courteous, and respectful attitude during interactions with patients and guests.Be on call for dental patients and transfer calls to the appropriate provider when necessary.Perform additional duties as assigned by the Front Office Coordinator and Health Center Manager.Update the MSDS book and Q.A. manual.Essential SkillsReception or front desk experience (2+ years)Healthcare backgroundBi-lingual in SpanishExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsDemonstrated computer skills, including typingAbility to handle multiple priorities and maintain composure under pressureAdditional Skills & QualificationsAssociates Degree or Business Institute CertificateTwo years of prior administrative/executive assistant experience preferredExposure to medical terminology and physician billing practicesWork Environment
This position operates within a healthcare facility, working alongside the office coordinator. The role involves interacting with patients and guests in a professional manner, requiring standard office attire. Responsibilities include handling inbound calls, managing patient demographics, and utilizing systems such as Dentrix.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
