Our hybrid-flex work environment allows you to thrive remotely while connecting in person with your cohort at our Durham campus during key events. **Program Details** + **Duration** : 10-week internship from **May 18 – July 24, 2026** + **Schedule** : Full-time (40 hours/week) + **Work Environment** : Hybrid – remote work from the state of North Carolina with onsite events at our Durham campus + **Residency Requirement** : Interns must reside in the state of North Carolina for the duration of the program + **Experience** : Hands-on project work that supports our customers and strengthens communities across North Carolina + **Mentorship** : Interns are paired with a mentor and receive regular feedback to support their development **What You’ll Do** The intern will support program development, marketing, and community engagement efforts specifically for the five Beyond Blue Neighborhood Centers across the state. Key responsibilities include conducting market research and data analysis, managing program data, and assisting with the design and implementation of initiatives related to food access, care access, and youth mental health. The role also helps ensure that accurate, up‑to‑date information about center programs and events is shared with members and the public, and by strengthening how we collect and track data about our impact. **What You Bring** + Currently enrolled as a rising Junior or Senior an accredited university or college Strong curiosity, drive, and ability to work independently and collaboratively + Excellent time management and communication skills **Bonus Points** + Background in or understanding of social media engagement and strategy.  + You’re energized by our mission to improve the health and well-being of our communities. + Interest in community engagement  + You bring positive energy, enjoy collaborating with others, hearing other perspectives, and sharing your own creative ideas.    + Experience working with diverse populations.  + Interest in Public Health **Compensation:** + Rising Sophomore: $20/hr + Rising Junior/Senior $22/hr + Masters / JD: $29/hr + MBA / PharmD: $36/hr **Salary Range** At Blue Cross NC, we take great pride in a fair and equitable compensation package that reflects market-price and our starting salaries are typically planned near the middle of the range listed. Compensation decisions are driven by factors including experience and training, specialized skill sets, licensure and certifications and other business and organizational needs.
