Description
We are looking for an experienced Benefits Specialist to join our team in Kansas City Metro. This role is essential in ensuring employees have access to comprehensive and compliant benefit programs, while maintaining confidentiality and building trust across all levels of the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Responsibilities:
• Administer and manage employee benefit programs, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Provide guidance and support to employees regarding benefits options, processes, and eligibility requirements.
• Foster trust and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information.
• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline benefits coordination and address employee inquiries effectively.
• Analyze and evaluate current benefit offerings to propose improvements and align with industry best practices.
• Manage benefits-related processes such as onboarding, FMLA administration, and other leave policies.
• Utilize Microsoft Office and organizational systems to maintain accurate benefit records and reports.
• Ensure timely communication of benefits updates and changes to employees.
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance employee understanding and engagement with benefit programs.
• Stay informed on legal and regulatory changes affecting compensation and benefits.
Requirements • Extensive knowledge of benefit programs, compliance requirements, and industry standards.
• Demonstrated ability to build trust and maintain confidentiality with employees at all levels.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with attention to grammar, punctuation, and professionalism.
• Proven organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple priorities effectively.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and organizational systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and sound decision-making based on company policies and judgment.
• Experience with benefits analysis, coordination, and administration, including FMLA and onboarding.
• Ability to develop and implement strategies that improve employee engagement with benefit offerings.
