Job Description
The Benefits Specialist will manage daily operations and effectively communicate benefit program information to employees and managers. The role involves processing and administering Qualified Life Events (QLEs) and mid-year benefit changes accurately and in a timely manner. The specialist will respond to benefit inquiries regarding enrollments, plan changes, premiums, and contributions, while analyzing enrollment data and performing month-end and annual reconciliations.
ResponsibilitiesManage daily operations of benefit programs and communicate information to employees and managers.Process and administer Qualified Life Events (QLEs) and mid-year benefit changes accurately and timely.Respond to benefit inquiries regarding enrollments, plan changes, premiums, and contributions.Analyze enrollment data and perform month-end and annual reconciliations.Support 401(k) and other benefit plan audits, both internal and external.Assist with New Hire Orientations and Open Enrollment activities.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employee benefits, plan design, and applicable laws.Stay current on FMLA and Leave of Absence regulations to support related processes.Analyze data and prepare monthly billing for fully insured and self-insured plans.Essential Skills5+ years experience in Benefits Administration.3+ years experience with FMLA and Leave Management.2+ years experience with 401(k) administration.Broad experience administering Health & Welfare and Retirement plans.Extensive knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws.Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations related to employee benefits.Proficiency in handling employee questions, audits, and open enrollment.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED required.Previous experience with M&A integration is a plus.Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.Highly proficient with Excel and comfortable with HRIS/benefits systems.Work Environment
The work environment for this role does not expose employees to high noise levels, temperature variations, electrical hazards, or potentially dangerous equipment. Travel to offsite locations may be required occasionally, up to 20% of the time.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dallas, Texas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
