Benefits Analyst
The Benefits Analyst will support all Company-wide benefits programs (i.e. health and welfare, retirement, disability and leave of absence and ancillary benefits). This includes independently problem solving, conducting research, preparing reports and analyzing data. This role acts as a liaison between the HR Business Partners, benefits vendors and our associates, as well as provides HR support as it relates to benefit policies and administrative procedures. Strong project management, organizational skills and time management skills to prioritize workload and meet time-sensitive deadlines as well as strong written and oral communications are a must.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities Administers the benefit programs and ensures that initiatives and strategies align with the company's philosophy and objectives and manages the legislative impact of benefit policies and practices.Effectively collaborates with various departments and maintains procedures and processes for accurate and timely reporting, financial compliance, vendor management, mergers and acquisitions, appeals and escalations, governance and participant communication.Support teams of cross-functional stakeholders to implement new benefit plan offerings.Assist with contract management processes for all benefit programs.Works with benefit/insurance partners and others to address and resolve billing, enrollment, coverage and other benefit issues.Assists in preparation and execution of annual open enrollment, including testing the electronic enrollment system, reviewing and updating communication and tracking completion progress.Consults with the business and vendors to evaluate the effectiveness of benefit programs, initiatives and strategies.Administers communication plan for benefit offerings and mechanism of delivery of messages to reach all associates.  Establishes measurement criteria, monitors, and evaluates the impact to the business of benefits activities.Directs and serves on teams and manages projects involving research, analysis and recommends new and enhanced benefit programs.Reports progress against goals to senior leadership and consults with leaders to identify actions to address opportunities for enhancements.Ensure the company’s compliance in all benefits related areas including Section 125, 401(k), HIPAA, COBRA and the Affordable Care Act Legislation.Successfully manages and negotiates with vendors and monitors performance.Act as liaison between HR, vendors and Associates to provide support as it relates to benefit policies and procedures.Minimum Requirements/QualificationsBachelor’s degree in related field3-5 years related experience 2–4 years benefits analysis and implementation experienceMulti-state benefit experienceProject management skillsExcel skillsStrong interpersonal and communication skillsWorks well in a team-oriented environmentDesired QualificationsAchievement of CEBS, CBP and SHRM benefits certificationExperience with Workday HCMExperience with Benefitfocus SystemProcess / Continuous Improvement experienceThis is not to a complete list of job duties: You may determine that you should perform other duties, or the company may assign you other duties.
