Benefits Administrator, TEMPORARY

At Merrimack Health, we are committed to pay transparency and equity. The base salary range is $31.70 to $47.55 hourly, excluding fringe benefits and potential bonuses.

Your final base salary will be determined based on your education, experience, licensure, and internal equity considerations. Offers are typically made below the top of the range to support future salary growth.

This position is a temporary position. 

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for strategic planning, developing, implementing, and administering benefit strategies and programs within MerrimackHealth and its affiliates. Responsibilities include revisions and updates to benefit policies and procedures, compliance with all benefit-related regulations including ERISA, Health Care Reform and ADA, as well as daily operations of benefits administration and claims management. The Administrator's duties include preparation of reports and audits, interfacing with carriers and brokers and coordinating the Annual Open Enrollment event. Serves as a member of the Human Resource Team, working with HR Leadership to support the goals of the Hospital.

EDUCATION AND RELATED EXPERIENCE:

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field. 5–7 years of benefits experience, including managing group and health plans.  Project management skills/experience. Strong PC skills with business and communication software, to include Excel and Word. Excellent communication skills. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment at all levels of the organization.

Preferred:

Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) designation. Experience with HRIS systems. Experience working in the healthcare industry.
