Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations._ **Responsibilities:** Provides clinical skills instruction and behavior reduction protocols based upon the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis to individuals with Autism and related developmental disabilities in the inpatient and outpatient medical settings. Collects data on programs, assist with caregiver training, and assist the Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) with clinical assessment as needed. Work under the supervision of a BCBA-D or BCBA. Conduct is at all times in accordance with the Behavior Analysis Certification Board (BACB) Code of Ethical Conduct. **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS** + Provides direct client care in one-on-one settings, utilizing a combination of intensive teaching and natural environment training arrangements. Follows the prescribed behavioral skills acquisition and behavior reduction protocols and takes data in line with each protocol. Assists with parent and caregiver training in line with client’s individualized treatment and behavior reduction protocols. + Assists BCBA in preparing client materials as instructed. Assists in data entry, material organization, and clinic space set up on a daily basis. + Collaborates with others in the medical environment, including client, parents and caregivers, medical providers, other hospital staff and professionals, and coworkers. + Participates in ABAICT team clinical meetings and supervision. + Other duties as assigned. **MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE** + High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years of experience directly related to behavioral health care for individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities required + Bachelor's degree preferred + Or equivalent combination of education and experience **KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES** + Ability to work effectively with individuals across the age range (5-30 years old) with autism or other developmental disabilities and challenging behavior preferred + Ability to approach situations with flexibility preferred + Can work with individuals with varying levels of need and complexity preferred + Comfortable working with pilot and novel programs to create new opportunities for integrated service models preferred **LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS** + Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician as issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) upon hire required The University of Rochester is committed to fostering, cultivating, and preserving an inclusive and welcoming culture to advance the University’s Mission to Learn, Discover, Heal, Create – and Make the World Ever Better.
