Amazon leo is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to customers around the world. Amazon Leo is looking for a talented individual to own Business Development for partnerships—ranging from retail sales, product/service bundles, and other strategic partnerships. This role is responsible for developing and managing all aspects of Kuiper consumer partnerships—including partnership development, contract negotiations, and customer experience. We are looking for someone who will be obsessed with matching our standards for operational excellence with a relentless focus on delighting our customers and identifying mutually beneficial opportunities with our partners. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is comfortable managing a wide range of partners, can manage responsibility for large scale business impact, and can communicate effectively with executive audiences.
Key job responsibilities
• Build and maintain broad relationships with potential consumer partners, develop and manage partnership opportunities for Amazon Leo consumer services, and negotiate complex partnership agreements
• Work cross-functionally with internal partner teams (GTM, Product, Operations, Marketing, Business Development, Customer Support, Field Services, and Finance) to launch our service and expand our reach to incremental customers, with a deep understanding of how to balance customer and partner interests with internal business needs
• Develop detailed business cases for new partnership opportunities including gross adds, subscriber, and revenue forecasts, per subscriber financial projections, fixed and variable marketing investments, contractual terms, financial trade-offs, and strategic value capture
• Define an executive relationship strategy, including building a strong working relationship with the senior leadership team for Amazon Leo and its partners to drive executive business reviews and shape its go-to-market opportunities
• Participate in Weekly, Monthly, and Quarterly Business Reviews, and continuously measure and forecast attainment against goals, utilizing various dashboards and tools to derive well-vetted analysis, and other ad-hoc requests and analysis as needed
This position may require access to information, technology, or hardware that is subject to export control laws and regulations, including the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Employment in this position is contingent upon obtaining any required export licenses or other approvals from the United States government. As such, the successful candidate must be eligible to obtain any necessary export licenses or approvals based on their nationality, citizenship, and any other factors considered by the applicable export control regulations.
