As a Batch Mixer, you will be responsible for formulating chemicals and handling raw materials to create large batches, up to 4000 gallons. This role requires attending daily safety meetings, following all standard operating procedures (SOPs), and maintaining detailed records. You will work with various machinery, including pumps, mixers, and milling machines, and must notify maintenance promptly if any issues arise. The role includes housekeeping duties and requires effective communication with team members and supervisors to ensure a smooth workflow. Flexibility is key, as you will also assist with packaging, staging, and preparing orders.
ResponsibilitiesAttend daily safety meetings and adhere to all SOPs.Receive and interpret batch sheets to formulate chemicals.Weigh out raw materials and handle liquids and powders from drums, totes, and bags.Pour and place materials into reactors, monitoring gauges and controls.Maintain and monitor running machinery such as pumps, mixers, and milling machines.Report any issues to maintenance immediately.Perform housekeeping duties while machines are running or when batches are finished.Communicate batch records with the next shift and supervisors.Work alongside helpers to ensure understanding of job duties and safety procedures.Assist with packaging, staging, and preparing orders as needed.Essential SkillsMinimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience.Experience in blending, formulating, chemical operating, and batch mixing.Preferably with experience in chemical or pharmaceutical industries.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in chemical or pharmaceutical industries is preferred over food industries.Why Work Here?Our facilities offer a clean and organized working environment, with a strong focus on safety. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.20 - $22.20/hr.
