ROLE DESCRIPTION
The Payroll Manager is ultimately responsible for all payment activities within the German Payroll run (approx.. 700 employees). The Payroll Manager reports to the SeniorPayroll Manager. The position is initially limited to six months with the possibility of transitioning into a permanent position.This role is based in our Operational Headquarters in Basel, Switzerland. Responsible for the monthly payroll run in SAP and SuccessFactorsRecording and checking ongoing wage changes in the master data as well as variable dataData verification of master data for new hires, departures, and changesMonthly reports to health insurance, social security institutions, as well as the relevant tax officeReporting accident reports to the relevant employers' liability insurance associationCommunication with authorities and insurance companies as well as preparation of employer certificatesAnswering all payroll related questionsAssessment of employment relationships in regards to social security, especially for new hiresMonthly creation of Payroll related reportingResponsible for opening tickets with our payroll support team as well as testing the implemented changesProviding data for social security and tax auditsSupporting the team in various administrative tasks as well as HR projectsKEY QUALIFICATIONS
Several years of professional experience in Payroll, in an international sector would be beneficialAdvanced knowledge in the German wage tax, social security and labor lawVery good handling of MS-Office especially Excel (Pivot, Vlookup, …) as well as SAP / SuccessFactors knowledge Fluency in German and English (spoken/written)Independent, precise and reliable way of workingCommitted, flexible and team-oriented personalityEDUCATION
Completed commercial education and further training in payroll / social insurance or at least 6 years of professional experience in PayrollCOMMUNITY & CULTURE
