What you will have an opportunity to do:

As a Barista working in the hotel’s market, you will be responsible for preparing and serving coffee, espresso drinks, and other beverages, while providing exceptional guest service. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for coffee and customer service. Previous barista experience is preferred.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Greet guests warmly and take beverage and light food orders accuratelyPrepare and serve a variety of coffee and espresso-based drinks according to established recipes and standardsOperate coffee equipment such as espresso machines, grinders, and brewers safely and efficientlyRestock and maintain cleanliness of the coffee station and market area throughout the shiftEnsure proper labeling, storage, and rotation of productsHandle cash and operate POS system for transactionsMaintain knowledge of menu items and be able to make product recommendationsAdhere to health, safety, and sanitation standardsProvide friendly, prompt service and resolve guest concerns or refer them to a supervisor as neededSupport market operations by assisting with stocking, merchandising, and general tidiness

What are we looking for?

REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or equivalent preferredPrevious barista or customer service experience strongly preferredFriendly, outgoing demeanor and excellent communication skillsAbility to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentWillingness to learn and follow standardized drink recipes and proceduresDependable and punctualBasic math and money-handling skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours)Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionallyFrequent reaching, bending, and stoopingAbility to operate espresso machines and other market equipment

Comfortable working in a small, enclosed market space with hot equipment and refrigeration units
