About our property:

Originally opened in 1949, the Beachcomber's name captures the essence of the property. It's all about the beach. Put your toes in the sand and soak in the sun on 200 feet of private beachfront. As was the norm in the early iterations of Florida hotels, Beachcomber's rooms all open up to a lush courtyard featuring tropical gardens, pools and endless spots to relax in the shade. No matter where you are, at the Beachcomber, you're always just steps from the beach and within earshot of live music emanating from our legendary beach bar, Jimmy B's!  

What you will have an opportunity to do:

We’re looking for motivated, energetic Barbacks to support our legendary bar team at Jimmy B’s Beach Bar. If you love staying busy, thrive in a high-volume environment, and want to be part of the heartbeat of the bar, this is your opportunity.

At Jimmy B’s, Barbacks keep the flow going — stocking, supporting, and making sure our bartenders have everything they need to keep the good times rolling.

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesStock and restock beer, liquor, wine, mixers, ice, and bar suppliesKeep bar areas clean, organized, and fully operational throughout serviceAssist bartenders during peak volume to ensure fast, efficient serviceRemove glassware, trash, and recycling promptlyHelp maintain cleanliness and safety behind the barFollow all food safety, alcohol service, and sanitation standardsAssis with maintaining stock, cutting, and storing of all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables daily to ensure product quality.

What are we looking for?

QualificationsPrevious barback or restaurant experience preferred (but willing to train the right person!)Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environmentFood Handler and Responsible Alcohol Service CertificationsStrong work ethic with a team-first attitudeAbility to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 75 lbs.Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidaysPositive attitude and eagerness to learn behind-the-bar operations
