The Signia by Hilton San Jose is looking for their next Banquet Package Coordinator. If you are organized, thrive off providing excellent customer service, and have excellent communication skills; this role may be the one for you! The Banquet Package Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support to the banquet department. In addition, accepts all guests and group events shipments into the hotel, verifying accuracy of delivery to appropriate parties. Maintains work area in accordance with standards. Issues and delivers items to departments in accordance with the standard operating procedure including conducting inventory.  

 

The ideal candidate will possess the following: 

A minimum of 6 months clerical experience including receiving packages and managing an inbox 

Previous experience in time keeping and managing payroll for a large team, Unifocus experience is a plus! 

6 months of more customer service experience 

Proven ability to multitask and handle competing priorities and projects 

A proactive attitude and willingness to take initiative

Wage: Hourly rate will be $25.00-$27.75 per hour based on applicable and specialized experience. 

Schedule: Scheduling will be primarily Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm with flexibility required to work weekends when needed

What will I be doing? 

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.  

Maintain office supplies for the department 

Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory, and related paperwork. 

Operate, maintain, and report issues with shipping equipment. 

Report all unsafe conditions immediately. 

Attend all mandatory meetings. 

Follow and know emergency procedures as needed. 

Keep work area clean and organized. 

Maintain a good working relationship with other departments, employees, and guests.
