This position will be eligible for $500 in sign on bonuses ($250 paid after 30 days, $250 paid after 90 days), quarterly incentive plan and monthly attendance bonuses.
This is a full time position, and given the nature of the work, must have full ability to work days, evenings and weekends. The position is paid an hourly rate plus a percentage of the service charge fee.
QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or equivalent.Two years banquet service experienceHigh volume experience.Good food and service knowledge.Extensive wine and spirits knowledge.Ability to make quick decisions in high stress situations.Excellent communication skills.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Directly assist the Banquet Manager with inventory practices and ordering and daily menu creation.Supervise Banquet Staff to ensure high guest service standards are maintained.Be the go to FOH representative for all other departments to communicate with in the absence of the Banquet Manager.Set up for functions to include draping tables, setting silverware, folding napkins, preparing drinks and put out table centerpieces.Service to include picking up food from back hall, carrying trays to function location, serve food and clear the food from the tables.Break down to include bussing tables, putting away dirty linen and centerpieces, vacuuming.Responsibilities also include cleaning of the back hall and organizing of storerooms.Interacting with guests and ensuring 5 star experience Follow highest standards of food and wine service and service etiquette.Ensure all functions are set up 30 minutes prior to function start time.Have working knowledge of liquor, beer, wine and food that is served at the property.Suggest pairings of food to wine or beer.Ensure cleanliness of the facility including polished flatware, clean glassware and plates.Be familiar with all property amenities.Maintain crisp, clean uniform as outlined per department standards.Communicating guests / staff comments or concerns to Banquet ManagerMARGINAL FUNCTIONS:Respond to any reasonable task as assigned by the supervisor or manager.Help out in other areas of the facility when applicable.
