Band Saw Operator
Job Title: Band Saw OperatorJob Description

We are seeking a skilled Band Saw Operator who will be responsible for flexing between wire rope assembly and band saw operations. The ideal candidate will assemble electrical and mechanical equipment, sub-assemblies, and test powered suspended access equipment and accessories, specifically focusing on hoists for scaffolding and construction.

ResponsibilitiesComplete the assembly of complex components with little or no supervision.Complete the assembly of complex components according to measured cycle time.Fit, function, and test assembled components under limited supervision.Properly utilize required hand tools and equipment necessary to perform assigned tasks according to verbal and written work instructions.Troubleshoot, repair, reassemble, and test assembled components with limited supervision.Maintain a positive attitude and willingness to learn a range of assembly methods and tasks.Perform daily 5S and continuously work to improve the performance of the work cell.Perform any other tasks or duties as assigned or directed.Essential SkillsHigh School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.Five or more years of electrical/mechanical assembly/installation or repair experience.Ability to read and interpret moderately complex assembly drawings.Ability to read tape measures and similar measuring devices.Ability to read and understand written standard work instructions.Knowledge of reading and interpreting calibrated equipment used in assembly.Proficiency in using all tools (hand/powered) used in the assembly process.Self-motivated, quick learner with strong attention to detail.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to read blueprints.Experience with band saw operations.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The position operates on the production floor alongside other manufacturing processes such as welding and metal fabrication, with a moderate noise level. Employees are expected to start at 5 am, standing for continuous periods, walking, and lifting items up to 50 pounds. The work involves a tight warehouse setting with forklifts and trucks operating inside and outside, requiring work at bench stations with tools and parts. The warehouse is not insulated and has moderate lighting conditions.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tukwila, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
