Main responsibilities:
Deliver high‑quality customer service aligned with company standards and policies. Oversee day‑to‑day bakery operations and staffing, including scheduling and assigning work. Supervise and train bakery staff, monitor quality of goods and service. Plan daily/weekly production; take and manage bakery orders (phone and in‑person). Maintain cleanliness and food/employee safety compliance in the bakery area. Manage inventory and record‑keeping; order ingredients and supplies; suggest changes to inventory/pricing. Prepare and bake products (measure/mix ingredients; shape dough; bake; move products to display). Set and maintain attractive product displays; provide samples and promote sales.We are looking for candidates who possess the following:
Soft skills:
Exceptional customer service and a friendly, enthusiastic approach with customers. Strong communication and team leadership skills; able to supervise and train effectively. Reliability and professionalism; able to comply with workplace conduct standards and uniform/grooming policies. Self‑motivation and a desire to increase product knowledge and share it with customers. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and multi‑task.Competencies:
Operational management: scheduling, staffing, production planning, quality monitoring. Food safety & compliance: adherence to federal/state/local food safety and employee safety regulations. Accurate record‑keeping, ordering, pricing suggestions, display maintenance, sales promotion. People leadership: supervising, coaching, and developing bakery staff.Knowledge:
Baking and pastry production processes (recipes, measuring/mixing, dough handling, baking). Operation of bakery equipment (mixers, ovens, bread slicers, etc.). Product knowledge for informing customers, sampling, and upselling. Applicable food safety, sanitation, and employee safety guidelines.Abilities:
Understand and follow instructions; read and retain policies, procedures, and recipes. Operate mixers, ovens, bread slicers, and related equipment safely and effectively. Maintain regular and predictable attendance; work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled. Keep work areas clean and organized; move trays/products between prep and display areas.
