We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Bakery Enzyme Quality Lab Technician to join our team. This role involves conducting laboratory experiments to evaluate enzyme performance in bakery formulations and ensuring the quality and effectiveness of our products.
Responsibilities
Conduct laboratory experiments to evaluate enzyme performance in bakery formulations.Prepare and analyze samples using standard food science techniques.Record, interpret, and report experimental data accurately.Assist in troubleshooting and optimizing enzyme applications for various bakery products.Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure compliance with safety and quality protocols.Collaborate with R&D and production teams to support product development and scale-up.Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in enzyme technology.Essential Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or a related field.Prior experience in dough preparation and bakery processes.Strong understanding of enzyme functionality and bakery processes.Proficiency in analytical techniques and data interpretation.Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods.Knowledge of baking ingredients and formulation science.Familiarity with regulatory requirements for food safety.Strong problem-solving and communication skills.Work Environment
The position is based in a bakery lab environment, requiring the ability to handle equipment and materials. The role involves standing for extended periods and occasionally lifting up to 25 lbs. The lab adheres to all safety and quality protocols to ensure a productive and safe working environment.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plantation, FL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $38.46 - $40.86/hr.
