Job Description

As a Bagger Operator, you will be responsible for the efficient bagging and handling of our products, including operating machinery to fill bags, weighing and sealing bags, and ensuring they are ready for shipment.
ResponsibilitiesOperate machinery to fill, weigh, and seal bags of yeast.Ensure bags are properly sealed and prepared for shipment.Maintain quality control standards and pay attention to detail.Support team goals and collaborate effectively in a team environment.Perform housekeeping tasks and maintain workplace cleanliness during downtime.Comply with safety requirements, including wearing protective gear.Essential SkillsAbility to repeatedly lift 50lb bags and manage physical tasks for the duration of the shift.Basic mathematical skills for accurately weighing bags.Willingness to be trained and certified to operate a forklift.Strong commitment to quality control and attention to detail.Compliance with food safety rules, including restrictions on facial hair, jewelry, and false eyelashes.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to stand on feet for most of the shift in a hot work environment.Protective shoes (steel or composite toe) required.Willingness to shave facial hair to remain in compliance for respirator use.No jewelry or piercings that cannot be removed.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The role involves working in packaging rooms and coolers, which maintain a temperature of around 50 degrees year-round. The environment is damp and has a strong sour yeast odor. As an FDA-regulated facility, strict adherence to safety protocols is required, including wearing hairnets, beard nets, lab coats, ear plugs, and safety glasses—all provided. Steel-toe shoes are mandatory but not provided.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
