Based in The Romania Excellence Centre, Bucharest - our client is seeking for experienced professionals who value teamwork, pioneering technology, and innovation. Our Know Your Client application enables advisors to collect information about new potential customers, calculates their risk and decides in a workflow to accept or reject the customer as a client. Additionally, all clients are reviewed on a periodic schedule. The solution is using REACT as front end, Java/Spring Boot as backend and an Oracle Exa-Database for storage. The instance is hosted on-prem on application servers. A migration of the hosting to Google Cloud and a role out of new instances in new locations is in progress.

What You’ll Be Doing
Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by following good practices and habitsDevelop, test and document Java-based software components in accordance with requirementsContribute to all stages of software development lifecycleIdentify and resolve any technical issue arisingWrite unit tests for robustness, edge cases and general reliabilityParticipate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related codeCreate design documentationPlan and support releasesSupport QA team to provide high qualityWork in a scaled Agile working environmentBe part of a global and diverse team
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fieldAt least 4y+ of experience in working with Java, SpringGood understanding of RESTGood understanding of design patterns, awareness/understanding of SOLID principlesKnowledge of Data structures/CollectionsUnderstanding of microservices architectureExperience with relational databases (Oracle)Experience with GCP would be a plusKnowledge and experience of agile values, principles and methods (e.g. based on SCRUM or Kanban)You have good communication, interpersonal skills and are a team playerYou are able to work in a global multi-cultural environment and can work with teams located in different time zones
