Job Title: Backend Developer Job Description We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer to join our team and participate in all aspects of software development, including design, implementation, and deployment. You will architect and guide the building of end-to-end systems optimized for speed, ease-of-use, and scalability. You will engage with designers, front-end engineers, and collaborate with back-end engineers to create reliable interfaces, including APIs. Responsibilities + Participate in all aspects of software development, including design, implementation, and deployment. + Architect and provide guidance on building end-to-end systems optimized for speed, ease-of-use, and scale. + Engage with designers and front-end engineers, and collaborate with back-end engineers to create reliable interfaces, including APIs. + Collaborate across time zones using various tools, including GitHub and frequent videoconferences. + Transform an existing project using .NET and C# and port it over to other languages using S3 storage and Amazon tools in the cloud. Essential Skills + At least two years of experience in back-end development. + Experience in building web applications. + Proficiency in SQL development. + Knowledge of AWS S3 as a storage tool. + Familiarity with JavaScript, AWS, IoT, React, and APIs. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Coding coursework is acceptable. + Experience with programming due to the large volume of data from equipment. + Ability to enhance user experience and modernize web app designs for mobile compatibility. Work Environment You will be working in a collaborative environment that spans across various time zones, utilizing tools like GitHub and videoconferencing. The role involves transforming software that is being moved from an international location to Rockford, which may require adapting to different work cultures and practices. The position requires a keen understanding of user experience, especially in making web applications user-friendly and scalable for a global market Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Rockford, IL.
