Job Description
Our client is looking for a talented Software Developer that will be responsible for developing solutions to satisfy enterprise SCADA requirements, guiding other developers during the development process, giving attention to usability and consistency across the product suite. You will participate in software development, provide development documentation, and ensure work is reviewed and tested at all stages of development; always striving to support the overall aim of the products to be market leaders.
In addition to the above, this role will also include involvement during defect triaging and implementation of a solution for defects identified in existing software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Research possible product enhancements, including understanding prioritiesParticipate and comment in review sessionsImplement (or oversee implementation of) approved enhancements to products; reporting on progress against estimate and highlighting unexpected technical issuesHelp and guide other developers during the whole development lifecycleWrite development documentation and create promotional material for implemented product enhancementsProvide support to Business Units, Sales and Pre-Sales, and 3rd level support to customers, for issues relating to the usage of the developed products in production releasesCoordinate work with other individuals working on enhancement and bug fixes to the productProvide technical analysis within projectsPrepare detailed task breakdowns and estimatesSuggest architectural design and the best fitting technologyEnsure that content matches the approved specification (i.e., no omitted requirements, and no scope-creep)Ensure that new developments are designed to take advantage of existing facilities in all appropriate productsConsider cybersecurity aspects during development and review cyclesMerge changes into the Configuration Management system and ensure the subsequent integrity of codeEnsure staff are made familiar with new product capability and encourage re-use of new code by preparing and giving presentations and demonstrationsReport inconsistencies across design and security standards to managementMust Haves:
7+ years C++/C#Test Driven Development (mock frameworks)Software Engineering/Computer Science Degree1+ years Visual StudioDemonstrable practical understanding of Object-Oriented design and programming techniquesAgile software environment experience (scrum)Fluent in English (written and oral)Nice to Have:

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00/hr.
