**Azure Network Engineer**
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in designing and maintaining our Azure network infrastructure and taking on additional responsibilities related to Cloud Systems Administrator in a fully Azure Cloud based environment
**Responsibilities**
+ Design, implement, and manage Azure-based network solutions, ensuring reliability, security, and scalability
+ Configure and optimize Azure networking services, including Virtual Networks, VPN Gateway, Azure Firewall, Front Door, and Azure Load Balancer
+ Manage Azure Entra ID, Group Policy, Sites and Services, Active Directory Connect, Federation, NTFS Permissions, DHCP, DNS
+ Deploy and optimize Azure Infrastructure resources, such as Virtual Machine Scale Sets, Availability Sets, Network Security Groups, Storage Accounts, Managed Disks, and Azure Site Recovery
+ Collaborate with architects and other Technology teams to integrate network solutions into the overall cloud infrastructure
+ Implement and maintain security measures to protect Azure-based networks and resources
+ Perform Azure cost management, optimization and provide recommendations
+ Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify and address vulnerabilities
+ Utilize Azure monitoring tools to identify and resolve network issues proactively
+ Optimize network performance by analyzing and fine-tuning configurations
+ Provide advanced technical support for Azure network-related incidents and problems
+ Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for Azure network configurations, processes, and procedures
+ Develop and update network diagrams and topology documentation
+ Implement automation scripts and tools to streamline network deployment and management processes
+ Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement through automation
+ Manage Azure-based IaaS infrastructure
+ Manage AD, GP, Sites and Services, AD Connect, Federation, NTFS Permissions, DHCP, DNS
+ Experience with Windows Patching (WSUS, SCCM, PatchManager, or other
+ Provide Technical Network and Systems support of external clients which includes US Federal Government entities as needed
**Qualifications**
+ US Citizen required
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred
+ 5+ years’ experience as a Network Engineer, Cloud Systems Administrator, Systems Engineer, or related role required
+ 3+ years’ hands-on experience with Azure tools, products, and services
+ Strong expertise in Azure networking services, including Virtual Networks, VPN Gateway, Azure Firewall, and Azure Load Balancer
+ Experience using Azure Cost Management and purchasing reservations
+ Exposure to Azure DevOps, including pipeline creation, release management, and infrastructure as code (IaC)
+ Azure certifications such as Azure Administrator and/or Azure Solutions Architect preferred
+ Exposure to automation and scripting languages, especially PowerShell
+ Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
+ Strong communication and collaboration skills
+ Self-motivated and able to thrive in a results-driven environment
+ Natural relationship builder with integrity, reliability, and maturity
+ Ability to prioritize among competing tasks and requests
+ Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
+ Keen attention to detail and adherence to deadlines
