We are seeking an experienced Azure FinOps Engineer to lead cloud cost visibility, optimization, and financial governance across our Azure environments. This role requires deep expertise in Azure services, cost management frameworks, and collaboration with Engineering, Product, and Finance teams. Experience optimizing serverless workloads is highly preferred.

 Key Responsibilities

Cost Management & Optimization

Monitor and analyze Azure cloud spend using Azure Cost Management and FinOps tooling. Identify cost saving opportunities across Compute (VMs), Storage, Databases, Backup, Networking, and Serverless services. Recommend Reservations and Saving plans based on analysis and build ROI on recommendations Implement and manage budgets, s, cost policies, tagging standards, RBAC controls, and other governance mechanisms. Drive adoption of Reservations, Savings Plans, Hybrid Benefits, and usage based optimizations.

Reporting & Financial Governance

Develop and maintain cost dashboards, periodic reporting, and custom views for Engineering and Finance stakeholders. Manage chargeback/showback models, business unit cost allocations, and consumption transparency. Perform cost forecasting, variance analysis, anomaly detection, and trend reporting to enable data driven financial decisions.

Cross Functional Collaboration

Partner with Engineering teams to design cost efficient architectures for both existing and new workloads. Advocate FinOps best practices and ensure compliance with cloud governance frameworks. Educate teams on responsible cloud consumption and help embed FinOps culture across the organization.

 Required Skills & Experience

Experience in managing Azure cloud environments. Strong understanding of Azure service pricing, Reservations, Savings Plans, hybrid benefits, and discount models. Expertise in FinOps principles, lifecycle phases, KPIs, and cloud financial management best practices. Experience with FinOps reporting tools (Azure Cost Management, Power BI, CloudHealth, Flexera, Apptio, or similar). Ability to interpret and optimize cost patterns for serverless services (Functions, Logic Apps, Event Driven architectures).
