Job Description
About the Role:
Design scalable cloud-based data engineering solutions, including the implementation and optimization of ETL/ELT pipelines.Develop robust data integration workflows for structured and semi-structured data (e.g., CSV, JSON, Parquet, Delta).Build and maintain data wrangling and transformation logic using SQL, Python, or PySpark.Collaborate with senior team members to implement source-to-target mappings and optimize data workflows.Optimize data pipelines for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost-efficiency in cloud environments.Troubleshoot and enhance existing data pipelines to improve reliability and performance.Participate in data quality, metadata, and lineage tracking efforts using tools like Azure Purview.Support analytics and reporting initiatives through data model development in Azure SQL Database.Contribute to technical documentation including data flow diagrams, mapping specifications, and design notes.Participate in Agile team meetings, design reviews, and contribute to team sprints and deliverables.Communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.About the Role:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.2–4 years of hands-on experience in data engineering or similar technical roles.Experience with Working knowledge of at least one Azure data platform such as Synapse Analytics, Microsoft Fabric, or Azure Databricks.Proficient in SQL and comfortable working with Python and/or PySpark.Solid understanding of cloud data platforms and foundational data engineering principles.Exposure to data governance concepts including data quality, lineage, and metadata management.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a continuous learning mindset.Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.Experience using version control tools (e.g., Git) and collaboration platforms such as Azure DevOps.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, agile development environment.Exposure to modern data architecture concepts such as data mesh and data lakehouse.Familiarity with Spark Structured Streaming and near real-time data processing.Experience with Power BI, data modeling, or reporting tools is a plus.Working knowledge of Microsoft Fabric or other Azure-native data services.Relevant certifications in Azure Data Engineering or cloud architecture are a plus.Why join Cushman & Wakefield?
