Crone Corkill are assisting a long-standing, boutique client as they look to add an Azure Automation Engineer to the team on a permanent basis. Working as part of a close-knit IT team, you’ll be key in designing, building and managing automation solutions using Azure Automation, Power Platform and Azure AI Services.

This is a unique opportunity centred on scripting, automation, builds, cloud, applications and infrastructure – Designing and building in a way that you see fit.

What will you do as an Azure Automation Engineer?Eliminate repetitive tasks, streamline processes and integrate intelligence into systemsLead the development and maintenance of Azure Automation Runbooks for operational tasks and service orchestrationBuild Power Platform solutions to automate processes and integrate systemsBuild solutions with Power Automate & Power Apps, connecting data sources and APIsIncorporate Azure AI into apps/flowsAssist in the management of Azure, including VMs, Networks, Storage, Entra ID, etcEstablish monitoring, logging and alerting via Azure Monitor and Log AnalyticsAssist in supporting the on-prem Windows infrastructure, using the likes of Active Directory, Hyper-V, etcApply secure by design practices to maintain complianceSupport M365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, etc) and security policies such as MFA and Conditional AccessWhat skills do you need to be an Azure Automation Engineer?Strong PowerShell or Python expertisePower Platform solutions – Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse etcExperience with Azure AI, including Azure OpenAI and Cognitive ServicesAzure Monitor and Log AnalyticsIaC using the likes of ARM Templates, Azure Policy, etcAzure Web Apps and Azure FunctionsM365, Entra ID, Intune and Defender for Endpoint experience
