We are looking a senior AWS Solutions Architect to lead the design and delivery of AWS cloud migration and architecture initiatives. This role is responsible for defining scalable, secure, and cost-effective AWS architectures, driving infrastructure automation through Infrastructure as Code, and guiding teams through complex migration and modernization projects.
The architect will work closely with stakeholders and leadership to translate business and technical requirements into robust cloud solutions, ensure alignment with AWS best practices, and mentor engineering teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.
General Duties and Tasks
Leading design and migration projects for AWS cloud solutions.
Developing architecture solutions to fulfill both functional and non-functional requirements.
Creating, reviewing, and approving architectural and solution design documents.
Automating infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
Recommending solutions to stakeholders, including directors, while articulating advantages and challenges.
Mentoring and guiding team members, ensuring quality and completeness of their work.
Collaborating with project managers to proactively address risks, assumptions, and issues.
Technical Requirements
AWS Architecting: In-depth understanding of AWS services and architecture design.
CloudFormation/Terraform: Extensive experience with infrastructure automation using AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
AWS Networking: Proficiency in managing VPCs, Subnetting, Security Groups, and AWS Route 53.
High Availability and DR: Design and implement highly available and disaster recovery solutions in AWS.
Cost Optimization: Experience in evaluating and recommending cost-effective cloud architectures.
IAM Best Practices: Define and enforce Identity and Access Management policies in AWS.
Well-Architected Reviews: Conduct and participate in AWS Well-Architected Reviews for optimization.
Nice to Have
DevOps Integration: Experience integrating cloud solutions with CI/CD pipelines.
Preferences
Bachelor’s or master's degree in IT or a related field.
At least 10 years of experience in cloud architecture.
AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional is highly preferred.
