The AVP, Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis is directly responsible for financial planning and analysis. Financial planning and analysis are a set of planning, forecasting, budgeting, and analytical activities that support the company’s major business decisions and overall financial health. Manage a team and oversee the preparation of critical reports, financial models, and quarterly earnings.

The incumbent has 3 direct reports.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Manage and oversee the preparation of the following reports:
• Annual budget and strategic and business plans.
• Quarterly contingency liquidity plan stress test.
• Monthly interest rate risk shock analyses and related periodic monitoring stress tests.
• Monthly Board reports package.
• Monthly internal management reports and financial performance reports.
• Manage financial models and coordinate with Model Risk Management to validate all financial models.
• Undertake projects assigned by the SVP, Financial Planning and Analysis.
• Manage and provide guidance to the team including writing annual performance evaluations and providing balanced feedback. Hosts meetings to support their development and to keep team up to date on new procedures and strategies.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Education: College degree in Accounting and Finance required. CPA preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of banking and accounting experience required. Financial planning and analysis experience with banks is required. Knowledge of asset liability management/interest rate risk modeling and financial modeling are highly preferrable. Strong knowledge of bank and business accounting functions, banking laws and regulations, fiscal and monetary policy, regulatory compliance, industry standards, practices, and expectations. Knowledge of general banking operations, products, and services. Knowledge of applicable regulatory compliance obligations, industry standards, practices and expectations, and accounting standards.
• Skills/Ability: Self-motivated, disciplined, task focused, with an ability to effectively structure and present complex topics in an easy-to-understand executive presentation format. Strong analytical and managerial skills. Advanced level experience working in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Access. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to interact effectively, internally, and externally, with senior representatives of organizations, regulators, and vendors.
