This is an exciting opportunity to help Manulife become the **health partner of choice** by redefining the next generation of customer-centric health insurance propositions. Reporting to the **Chief Health Officer** , this role leads the end-to-end strategy, design, and delivery of individual and group health propositions that are innovative, market-relevant, and aligned with evolving customer needs.
The role is accountable for driving health insurance growth through compelling product design, sound pricing strategy, and robust proposition governance. Working collaboratively across marketing, operations, distribution, and technology, the incumbent ensures health propositions are seamlessly integrated, commercially sustainable, and market-ready.
The successful candidate will shape the future of health offerings, reimagine the customer journey, and unlock cross-sell opportunities across Manulife’s holistic insurance and wealth portfolio.
**Position Responsibilities:**
**Proposition Strategy, Delivery & Pricing**
+ Lead the strategy, design, and delivery of differentiated health propositions
+ Drive innovation by integrating high-quality provider networks, clinic pathway management, case management, and wellness support into health insurance offerings
+ Drive pricing strategies to ensure profitability, sustainability, and alignment with governance and risk frameworks
+ Support the Chief Health Officer in representing Manulife in industry forums and regulatory engagements to advocate for the evolution of the VHIS governance framework and broader health ecosystem
**Product Development & Management**
+ Oversee the full product lifecycle of individual and group medical portfolios — from ideation and validation to launch and continuous enhancement
+ Ensure offerings are compliant, competitive, and aligned with business strategy and regulatory requirements
**Customer Experience Optimization**
+ Champion customer-centric design and service excellence across all health propositions
+ Collaborate with CX, distribution, and operations teams to deliver seamless and engaging customer journeys across every touchpoint — from awareness and onboarding to healthy usage, sickness usage, and recovery
**Platform & Partnership Enablement**
+ Lead the transformation of the group health insurance technology platforms to support scalable and flexible proposition delivery
+ Operationalize strategic health partnerships to enrich Manulife’s broader insurance offerings and services
**Business Growth & Performance**
+ Drive health insurance new business value, market and customer penetration
+ Maximize cross-sell and upsell opportunities across Manulife’s insurance and wealth portfolios
+ Collaborate with the CX team to deliver industry-leading customer Net Promoter Score (NPS) across the health customer journey
**Required Qualifications:**
+ 10+ years of experience in health insurance, product development, or health proposition leadership.
+ Strong understanding of health systems, digital health trends, and evolving customer behavior.
+ Proven track record in driving business growth through innovation.
+ Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
+ Strategic thinker with strong execution capabilities.
+ Experience in managing partnerships and integrating health services is highly desirable.
