AVP, Claims Data Solutions and Insights
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Assistant Vice President (AVP) to support the Claims Data Solutions and Insights team. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical and business acumen, working closely with the VP and other senior leaders to advance strategic Claims Transformation and Claims Data initiatives. This role is focused on hands-on execution, collaboration, and delivering actionable insights to promote a data-driven decision-making culture. The AVP will report to the Vice President, Claims Data Solutions and Insights.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with the VP and team members to set priorities, track progress, and ensure timely, high-quality deliverables. Serve as a key data consumer, ensuring business intelligence, operational metrics, modeling, analytics, and reporting requirements are met. Analyze claims data flows, dependencies, and impacts, and support business process understanding related to source system and/or vendor data. Partner with corporate data delivery teams to help develop claims data products for broader business users. Support end-to-end data & analytics solutions for Claims Transformation initiatives. Work with global analytics teams to assist in developing and implementing AI/ML solutions into claims workflows, monitor outcomes, and identify opportunities for improvement. Identify and recommend essential data elements to support strategic initiatives, ensuring precision, completeness, and consistency. Assist in defining and documenting use cases, business requirements, and anticipated business benefits. Collaborate with Claims Actuarial Insights and Claims Business Intelligence teams to deliver actionable insights and creative solutions to Claims, Underwriting, and Actuarial stakeholders. Bachelor’s degree required; 7+ years of experience in the P&C insurance industry with a focus on data-driven decision-making. Claims data & analytics experience strongly preferred.Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams; project management experience is a plus.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a proven ability to connect complex datasets to actionable business insights.Proficiency in one or more of the following: SQL, R, or Python.Working knowledge of QlikSense, Power BI, or Tableau is a plus.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present data findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, fluid environment.
The pay range for the role is $130,000 to $160,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors.
