AVP, Business Intelligence & Visual Insights

Chubb North America is seeking a highly motivated and experienced AVP, Business Intelligence (BI) who will play a critical role in designing and delivering data-driven, user-focused business intelligence solutions, with a strong emphasis on UI/UX design principles and a consultative approach.  
This role places equal emphasis on deep business understanding of the insurance life-cycle, data and systems, impeccable BI & visual insights development/ delivery and exceptional project, and stakeholder management skills. The role will involve governing data and reporting capabilities in digital transformation producing high quality insights that demonstrate a full narrative , and communicating to key stakeholders including executives and senior leadership. They will be fully responsible for the development of dashboards, easily digestible data visualizations, and other reports to support a data driven operations across all functions of the Division. The candidate must demonstrate a high degree of business and technical ownership, comfort with ambiguity and an ability to generate high quality products given competing priorities and present in front of user audiences.

Reporting: Role will report to the VP, Business Intelligence and Visual Insights.

Responsibilities:
In this position you will: 
•    Collaborate with stakeholders across business units—including executives, analysts, and IT—to provide leadership in prototyping automated, actionable, and real-time reporting solutions that drive business value. 
•    Leverage deep business knowledge to improve or develop KPIs and monitoring tools, ensuring alignment of metrics and reporting with organizational goals and stakeholder requirements. 
•    Identify and develop opportunities to enhance data visualization and portfolio monitoring capabilities by continuously assessing user needs, market trends, and emerging technologies. 
•    Oversee the creation and maintenance of dashboards, reports, and other visual analytics assets driven by KPIs and business outcomes, providing real-time, actionable insights to business users 
•    Govern data and reporting processes in digital transformation initiatives, overseeing the journey from initial concept through production management and ongoing process improvement with compliance to safeguard sensitive information and maintain regulatory compliance 
•    Support deployment, monitor production performance, address production fixes, and participate in monthly/quarterly closing activities related to business intelligence applications, ensuring continuous improvement and operational excellence. 
•    Identify opportunities to both improve existing and develop new data visualization and portfolio monitoring capabilities  
 

•    BA/BS required in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.  
•    7+ years as a technical data analyst, with experience in SQL and proficient in querying data using MS SQL server. 
•    5+ years of experience in data analytics and business intelligence. 
•    Demonstrated experience and thought leadership with data visualization tools (e.g., Qlik, Power BI) 
•    Deep expertise in data warehousing, data models, and data governance. 
•    100% ownership of planning, prioritization, implementation, and maintenance of work assignments in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, while fostering an environment of shared responsibility and accountability. 
•    Proven track record of exceptional communication, collaboration and working effectively with executive partners and a multi-functional team

•    It would be a plus if you have:
o    Master’s degree in a quantitative field.
o    5+ years of Insurance business experience or strong understanding of the Insurance Value Chain and core insurance functions.
o    Aptitude for driving innovation and automation through user-friendly data assets combining Business Intelligence, data science, and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
o    Understanding of cloud computing tools including Azure, Synapse, Fabric, etc.

Location:
•    We are open to you being based in either our Whitehouse Station, NJ, Jersey City, NJ, Philadelphia, PA, or Simsbury, CT office.
 
The pay range for the role is $103,700 to $176,300. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program.  Chubb offers a comprehensive benefits package, more details on which can be found on our careers website.  The disclosed pay range estimate may be adjusted for the applicable geographic differential for the location in which the position is filled.
