Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Avionics Technician to join our team, focusing on heavy modifications and upgrades for various aircraft, including the Hercules C130, Citation project, and Boeing 737. The role involves fabrication of avionics and electrical parts, assembly in accordance with manufacturing drawings, and ensuring installations conform to Canadian Aviation Regulations and/or FAA Regulations.

ResponsibilitiesPerform heavy modifications on aircraft including Hercules C130 and Boeing 737.Fabricate and assemble avionics and electrical parts following maintenance and installation manuals.Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and maintenance manuals.Ensure installations comply with Standard Operating Procedures and aviation regulations.Identify and resolve non-conformances and counterfeit parts.Plan and execute avionics installation projects accurately and expertly.Communicate effectively with peers and manufacturers.Utilize calibrated tools and perform regular maintenance on machines and tools.Maintain a clean and tidy work area.Carry out additional duties as assigned.Essential Skills5+ years of installation experience in heavy maintenance.Experience with Hercules C130, landing gear installation, and heavy maintenance.Ability to run comb and clamp harnesses.Previous avionics and electrical systems experience on Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Bombardier, and Cessna.Completion of a TCAA Approved Avionics or Accredited Avionics course.Strong familiarity with leading avionics brands such as Garmin, Becker, Collins, Honeywell, COBHAM, and Technisonic.Minimum of two years of experience in maintenance and installation of aircraft avionics and related electrical systems.A&P license or AME E License.Additional Skills & QualificationsFirefighting conversion experience.C130 experience.737 Experience.AME E license.Experience with Sikorsky aircraft products.Knowledge of Garmin systems.Controlled goods certification.Leadership experience.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The work environment includes 14 avionics techs per shift, with flexibility in shift timings. Work hours are from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm, with possible split shifts from 3:00 pm to 12:00 am. The rotation can be 4 weeks on and 2 weeks off, or ideally 3 weeks on and 2 weeks off, with 60-hour work weeks. Contractors are provided with company accommodations, and travel arrangements include shuttle services and company vehicles for convenience. A per diem is provided for work outside the primary location.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
