Job Title: Avionics Technician

Job Description

Perform efficient maintenance, inspection, installation, modification, and repair of all electrical and avionics systems used on assigned aircraft using a variety of test equipment. Troubleshoot and test complex avionic and electrical systems under simulated or actual operating conditions to determine performance and airworthiness. Apply comprehensive technical knowledge to solve complex problems by interpreting manufacturers’ manuals, operators’ handbooks, or other similar documents. Utilize technical knowledge of avionics and electrical systems to determine equipment malfunctions and apply the required expertise in restoring equipment and/or operation. Ensure aircraft airworthiness and safety are prioritized.

Responsibilities

Conduct maintenance, inspection, and repair of avionics systems.Install and modify avionic and electrical systems on aircraft.Troubleshoot complex avionic and electrical systems to assess performance and airworthiness.Apply technical knowledge to interpret manuals and handbooks.Ensure airworthiness and safety of all aircraft.

Essential Skills

3+ years of avionics experience or electrical/electronic experience on fixed wing aircraft.Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing avionics systems.Proficiency in avionics test equipmentExperience with wire and wire harness installations.Soldering and wire-terminationAbility to install and modify avionics systems.Knowledge of GPS and pilot systems.Familiarity of FAA Standards including 14 CFR Part 43

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Aircraft Electronics Technician (AET) certification.FCC license with radar endorsement.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.76 - $33.07/hr.
