Job Description

Join an innovative team in the aerospace industry and contribute to the development of advanced spacecraft. This role involves working on the unique avionics architecture of a full fly-by-wire spaceship. Key tasks include harness installation, wire tying, wire bundle routing, wire stripping, terminations, and troubleshooting. Utilize various shop tools and machinery such as multimeters, soldering irons, crimpers, wire strippers, and cutters.

What You'll Do

Install and build avionics wiring and harnesses on a fly-by-wire spacecraft Route, tie, strip, crimp, solder, and terminate wires Install avionics components (LRUs, sensors, DAUs) Troubleshoot electrical and avionics issues Use standard avionics tools (multimeter, soldering iron, crimpers, wire strippers) Follow drawings, work instructions, and safety/FOD proceduresWork closely with other technicians and engineers on the shop floor

What We're Looking For:

Required

3+ years of avionics or aircraft electrical experienceHands-on wire harness installation and troubleshooting experienceAbility to read wiring diagrams and blueprintsComfortable using computers to follow work instructionsHigh school diploma (or equivalent)Able to lift up to 50 lbs and wear PPE

Preferred

A&P training or certificationExperience building/installing LRUsSpacecraft or advanced aerospace experienceLean manufacturing familiarity

Work Environment

Work in a temperature-controlled aircraft hangar, with some humidity due to the nature of the aircraft parts. The role is based on a 2nd shift schedule from 4 PM to 2:30 AM, Thursday to Sunday, with the possibility of overtime. The initial contract is for six months, with potential for permanent placement based on performance.
