Job Title: 1st Shift Avionics Technician

Job Description

As an STC Avionics Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, inspecting, modifying, and servicing aircraft avionics, electrical, and electronic equipment. You will ensure that all work is documented according to appropriate manuals and regulations and adhere to general work requirements in factory, shop, and hangar environments. Compliance with environmental health and safety policies and procedures is essential.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair aircraft avionics, electrical, and electronic equipment.Perform inspections and modifications on aircraft systems.Document work performed as per manuals and regulations.Adhere to general work requirements for factory, shop, and hangar positions.Comply with environmental health and safety policies and procedures.Participate in 5-S activities to maintain a clean and organized work area.Perform tasks safely and in a timely manner.Operate ground support equipment as needed.Assist with mechanical and electrical removals and installations.Provide maintenance support at off-site locations as required.Assist with other maintenance disciplines as needed.

Essential Skills

Ability to read and understand electrical engineering drawings.Effective communication skills in both written and verbal forms regarding individual and aircraft status.2+ years of troubleshooting experience in avionics systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with Satcom, Wi-Fi, and Honeywell systems.

Work Environment

Work in a dynamic and supportive environment that promotes safety and efficiency. Participate in 5-S activities to maintain an organized workspace. The position may require operating ground support equipment and assisting at off-site locations. Weekend shifts offer a unique work-life balance.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dallas, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $50.00/hr.
