Avionics Technician
Job Title: Avionics Electrician - Medford, OR

Job Description

The Avionics Electrician will play a crucial role in maintaining heavy-lift helicopters, specifically the Sikorsky S-64, within a Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) environment. This position involves disassembling, repairing, fabricating parts as needed, reassembling, installing, and documenting maintenance actions. The role includes both in-shop fabrication of harnesses and on-wing installation and troubleshooting/repair.

ResponsibilitiesDisassemble, repair, fabricate parts, reassemble, and install components on heavy-lift helicopters.Document maintenance actions thoroughly.Inspect, clean, test, and/or remove wiring in aircraft.Read and interpret maintenance manuals and wiring diagrams.Select wiring and components, and build harnesses using tables and ergonomic pivoted boards.Install wire harnesses on aircraft in the hangar, test and terminate connections.Remove, replace, and repair panels as necessary.Essential SkillsElectrical and avionics expertise.Experience in aircraft installation and troubleshooting.Ability to repair and install wire harnesses.4+ years of experience in aircraft electrical wiring and avionics repair.Additional Skills & QualificationsGood quality flush cut wire cutters required.Cannon plug pliers and safety wire pliers suggested.Must be open to working 2nd shift if required.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Work will be conducted in aircraft hangar and shop areas located in Medford, OR. The work environment is equipped with an advanced electronic tool crib providing access to a wide array of tools. The standard shift is Monday to Thursday from 6 AM to 4 PM and Friday from 6 AM to 2:30 PM. After three months, there is a possibility to transition to a 3 PM to 2 AM shift (4 x 10-hour shifts), requiring flexibility. The 2nd shift is newly established with a lead already in place.

This is a Contract position based out of Medford, Oregon.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $42.00 - $52.00/hr.
