Avionics Repair Technician
**Job Title: Bench-Level Avionics Repair Technician – Gyroscopic Instruments** **Employment Type: Full-Time** **Industry: Aerospace / Aviation Maintenance** **Experience Level: Mid-Level (4+ Years)** **Pay Range: $35-40/hour DOE** **Position Summary:** We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bench-Level Avionics Repair Technician with specialized experience in gyroscopic instruments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, calibration, and testing of precision navigation and control components used in aviation and aerospace systems. **Key Responsibilities:** + Perform bench-level maintenance, overhaul, and repair of gyroscopic instruments used in aircraft and other aerospace platforms. + Conduct precise calibration procedures to ensure instrument accuracy and compliance with technical specifications. + Troubleshoot and diagnose faults using schematics, wiring diagrams, and component maintenance manuals (CMMs). + Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all maintenance, repair, and calibration activities. + Assist in the design, fabrication, and upkeep of specialized test equipment used in diagnostics and calibration. + Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, quality standards, and internal procedures. **Required Qualifications:** + Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in avionics repair, specifically with gyroscopic instruments. + Proficient in reading and interpreting Component Maintenance Manuals and technical schematics. + Skilled in the use of precision hand tools and test equipment. + Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. + Candidates with experience in watch repair or other fine mechanical systems involving small gear assemblies are encouraged to apply. **Preferred Attributes:** + FAA Repairman Certificate or eligibility preferred. + Familiarity with aerospace quality systems and documentation practices. + Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative technical team. **Work Environment:** + This position operates in a controlled bench repair environment with access to advanced diagnostic and calibration equipment. The role supports a wide range of aviation clients, including commercial, cargo, corporate, and military operators. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
