**Job Description**
Join our team as an Aviation Technician, where you will contribute to the assembly of helicopters for civilian and military purposes. We are seeking individuals with a background in aviation maintenance and aircraft assembly to work across various areas including Final Assembly, Component Assembly, Sub Assembly, and Dynamic Component Build Up.
**Responsibilities**
+ Install and adjust complex assemblies including correlator assembly, main rotor assembly, tail rotor assembly, and more.
+ Perform installations using power and hand tools according to blueprints and specifications.
+ Set up, align, and assemble parts to be riveted in jigs or fixtures with temporary fasteners.
+ Verify dimensions and alignment, and prepare parts for riveting.
+ Fabricate thermoplastic parts, check for defects, and fit and bond parts to assemble larger structures.
+ Install gas tank hardware, electrical terminal boards, and assist in electrical wiring installation.
+ Assemble and mount doors, install door mechanisms, and route doors using templates.
+ Build up seat structure assemblies and align seat structures within the cabin frame.
+ Select subassembly parts, measure tolerance, and hone parts to fit.
+ Perform drilling, tapping, reaming, and countersinking as needed.
+ Position and align parts using jigs, fixtures, and templates.
+ Assemble main rotor spindles, hubs, swashplate assemblies, and more.
+ Inspect and test work for conformance to specifications, and keep records as directed.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience in aircraft maintenance.
+ Proficiency in avionic systems and A&P certification.
+ Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems.
+ Experience with sheet metal, airframe, and wire harness assembly.
+ Familiarity with blueprint reading and schematic interpretation.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Military aviation experience is a plus.
+ Open to candidates with machine builder, diesel mechanic, or mechanically inclined skill sets.

**Work Environment**
You will work in a clean, temperature-controlled shop with about 150 people at the facility, reporting to a team lead. Most work is conducted indoors, fostering a small family-type atmosphere. Enjoy a half-hour unpaid lunch break.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Menominee, Michigan.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
