**Structures Technician**
**Location:** Mesa, Arizona
**Pay:** $30–$37/hr
**Per Diem:** Available for qualified non‑local candidates
**Contract Type:** 6‑Month Contract (potential for extension or conversion, not guaranteed)
**Job Description**
Join an innovative aerospace program supporting the assembly and production of advanced airframe structures. This role involves working with **unique bonding, drilling, and structural assembly processes** used in next‑generation aircraft and spacecraft manufacturing.
**Responsibilities**
+ Assemble composite parts and structural components of varying sizes and complexities
+ Set up assembly fixtures and operate shop tools including drills, die grinders, and calipers
+ Drill precision holes in composite and metal structures, including multi‑layer stack‑ups
+ Install and work with multiple fastener types (Hi‑Lite, Hi‑Lok, Composi‑Lok, and others)
+ Perform trimming, fitting, fay sealing, and fastener installation
+ Provide technical input for repair, assessment, and process improvements
+ Troubleshoot issues and support root‑cause analysis when needed
+ Ensure all assemblies meet quality, safety, and engineering standards
+ Follow detailed assembly instructions, drawings, and digital work orders
+ Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and FOD prevention practices
+ Collaborate with other technicians, engineers, and cross‑functional teams
**Essential Skills**
+ High school diploma or equivalent
+ **Minimum 3 years of aircraft fabrication or structural assembly experience**
+ **Hands‑on experience in precision, manual manufacturing environments**
+ **Proficiency with aircraft assembly tools and equipment**
+ **Skilled in identifying, installing, and removing common aircraft fasteners**
+ **Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and digital models**
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Knowledge of proper drill speeds, feeds, and material‑specific techniques
+ Understanding of hole tolerances and structural assembly standards
+ Experience with a wide range of fasteners and composite/metal work
+ Willingness to learn **cutting‑edge spacecraft manufacturing methods**
+ **A&P training/certification is a plus**
+ **Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles**
+ **Strong safety awareness and consistent housekeeping practices**

**Work Environment & Shifts**
+ Work is performed inside an aircraft hangar with temperature control
+ Humidity levels may be high due to aerospace material requirements
+ **Shift Options:**
+ **1st Shift:** 6:00am–4:30pm (Mon–Thur)
+ **1st Shift:** 6:00am–4:30pm (Thur–Sun)
+ **2nd Shift:** 4:00pm–2:30am (Mon–Thur)

This is a Contract position based out of Mesa, AZ.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $37.00/hr.
